Best for

Medium to dark brunette hair that develops unwanted warm, coppery or reddish tones and needs a cooler, more neutral finish.

Not recommended for hair with very light blonde foils, highlights or balayage, as darker pigments can grab onto lighter, porous hair and leave unwanted muddy or grey tones.

How to use

After shampooing, apply evenly through damp hair, concentrating on areas needing a colour refresh. Comb through for even distribution and leave for a few minutes, depending on the depth of colour required. Rinse thoroughly.

Cool Brown is fantastic for brunettes who love that rich, cool-toned finish but find their colour starts throwing warmth between salon visits.

One thing I always tell my clients, though, is to be careful if you've got lighter blonde pieces through your hair. Colour-depositing conditioners don't know which bits you want toned! Those lighter, more porous sections can grab the darker pigment and end up looking muddy.
